Cancel a transaction by deleting it from the Publishing Queue.
Before you begin
You can cancel a publish transaction that you initiated as long as it is not yet in progress. To cancel a publish transaction that is already in progress, you must be a system administrator (that is, you have the System Administration Privilege).
To cancel a publish transaction that you did not initiate requires additional rights or privileges. Specifically, you must have either the System Administration Privilege or the Publish Transaction Privilege
Note: The Publishing Queue is purged on a regular basis, based on the configuration of the Content Manager.
Procedure
- Access the Publishing Queue through one of the Content Manager user interfaces.
- Content Manager Explorer — On the Home tab of the Ribbon toolbar, click Publishing Queue.
- Experience Manager — On the Manage tab of the Ribbon toolbar, click Publishing Queue.
- Locate and select the transaction you want to cancel.
Tip: Use the filter options to locate the publish transaction.
- Select Remove from the Publish Queue.
- On the Publishing Queue toolbar (or on the context menu), click Remove from the publish queue.
Results
The publish transaction is cancelled and removed from the Publishing Queue.
