Default Group security

Tridion Sites in installed with a default set of user Groups. When a new Publication is created, the default set of user Groups have visibility over the Publication with the with the typical rights and permissions for users having that role.

System privileges

Except for the System Administrator group, none of the default Groups have system privileges set by default.

The System Administrator group is defined by default with the System Administration Privilege, which then grants all other registered privileges.

Group visibility

The default Groups have, by default, visibility enabled for All Publications. If you modify the scope of a default Group from the setting All Publications, the default Group rights no longer apply in newly created Publications.

Publication rights

When a new Publication is created, each default group will atomically have the default rights.

Default Permissions

When a new organizational item is created, each default Group will atomically have permissions for the actions that are typical for that role.
