Deleting a user in Access Management

Delete a user to remove them from Access Management and all Tridion applications they use.

About this task

When you delete a user in Access Management, their user account is completely removed from the system and cannot be restored.

This action affects all the applications for which the user been given access through Access Management.

This action does not prevent the user from logging in if the user still exists in the IdP and has access. When the user logs in again, a new account will be created.

Procedure

  1. From the slide-out navigation, select Access Management.
The Users tab shows a list of existing users.
  2. Open the user you want to delete. (You can delete either from the read-only view or while editing.)
  3. Select Delete.
  4. When prompted, confirm that you want to delete the user.

Results

The user is removed from the system. In activity logs, all actions performed by a deleted user remain intact for archival purposes. The user's identity, however, is hidden and their username is replaced with an numeric ID.
