Translation review process
You can include an optional Review step in your translation workflows so that translated content can be reviewed and edited by Tridion Sites users.
Steps in the translation review process
The following diagram illustrates the Review process:
The steps in the review process is as follows:
- The process begins in the translation system where the translator translates the content and saves their changes.
- The translator (or someone else working on the translation system) moves the job to the 'Translated Content Retrieval for Review' step. This is the first Tridion Sites retrieval step.
- Once the translated content is retrieved from the translation system, the Tridion Sites workflow starts.
- The next step is the Review step, and the job status remains as 'In Translation'. While in the Review step, there is no requirement to create or copy the translation job. The job remains in the same Workflow and has the 'In Translation' status until the content is finally accepted.
- After the translated content has been reviewed, it can then be accepted or rejected and comments can be exchanged between Tridion Sites users and translators.
- If it is rejected, the content is sent back to the translation system users (for example, translators or reviewers using WorldServer), with comments. Tridion Sites users can make changes to the translated text before sending it back to the translation system users.
Pre-requisites for the Review functionality
- In Tridion Sites, the Target Publication must have a Review Workflow.
- In the translation system, the Workflow must contain a Review step.
