Viewing classified content

From the Taxonomies node of a Publication, you can browse the available taxonomies and see which Content Manager items are classified with a specific tag. This is the same whether the tag is an internal Keyword or an external taxonomy Concept.

Procedure

  1. In the slide out navigation pane, select Content Explorer.
  2. In the Taxonomies node of the Publication, expand a Category that represents a taxonomy.
Both the navigation panel and the main content area show the top-level Keywords or Concepts in the taxonomy.
  3. In the navigation panel, select a Keyword or Concept.
In the main content area, you can view all content items that are classified with the selected Keyword or Concept. The list is dynamically updated when you select different Keywords.
  4. To refine the results list, use the following options:
    • Include nested tags—Clear the checkbox to show only items classified with the single Keyword or Concept and not with any of its descendents.

By default, this option selected and the list shows items classified with any Keyword in the selected Keyword's branch.

    • Item types:—choose one of the following from the drop-down list:
      • Components—retrieves only Components that are classified with the Keyword or Concept (selected by default)
      • Components and Pages—retrieves Components and Pages that are classified with the Keyword or Concept
      • All—retrieves all Content Manager items that are classified with the Keyword or Concept
    • After making a change, click the Refresh icon (refresh icon) to update the results.

What to do next

From the list, you can perform most of the standard Content Manager actions that are normally available for a particular item type, including to unclassify or reclassify the item . If needed, you can also open an item and change its classification.
