Adding Config Items to a Package Profile

You can add new global configuration items directly into a package even if they do not exist in your distribution server's global configuration.

Procedure

  1. If you are on a Legacy Content Delivery page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
    The Legacy Content Delivery landing page appears.
  2. In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Application.
    The Manage Application page appears.
  3. Click Packaging.
  4. Click Add Profile.
  5. In the Name field, enter a name.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the right pane, click Global Config.
  8. Click Add Item.
  9. Example:
    1. In the Name field, enter proxy.url
    2. In the Value field, enter https://lb.example.com/knowledgecenter (where lb refers to an example load balancing server).
    3. Click Save to dismiss the pop-up window.
  10. Click Save to save the package profile.
  11. Click Export Package.
  12. When the Export Package Complete message appears, click Close.
  13. To confirm that the package was created, in the left pane, click Packaging.
    Your new package should be listed.
