Adding or Merging a Language

Copying and merging languages lets you edit and add languages to Legacy Content Delivery to use in the UI.

About this task

Copying a language resource lets you create new languages from the base skin. This way, you do not have to start a new language from scratch and you can choose which strings to translate.

Merging a language makes it easy to keep your skin languages up-to-date. For example, after upgrading Legacy Content Delivery, you can merge the changes from the base skin English language resource into the English language resource for your skin. This merge process will identify items that were added, modified or made obsolete with the upgrade. You can select items to automatically add to your custom language resource. Later you can provide translated strings for the new entries you selected and choose whether or not to delete obsolete entries.

Procedure

  1. If you are on a Legacy Content Delivery page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Legacy Content Delivery landing page appears.
