Enabling and Disabling Audit Trails

Audit trails log various user actions as they view publications in SDL Tridion Docs. Auditing is enabled by default; this procedure describes how to disable it or re-enable it.

About this task

Enabling or disabling auditing does not immediately change the setting for users already accessing the system. If the user is in a session that is being audited, and then the administrator disables auditing, his or her session continues to be audited until the session ends. Then, the next time that user comes back and starts a new session, his or her session is not audited. Similarly, if a user accesses the server while audits are disabled, but then auditing is enabled, his or her entire session is not audited.

Procedure

  1. If you are on a Legacy Content Delivery page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Legacy Content Delivery landing page appears.
  2. In the Administration Tools pane, select Manage Application.
    The Manage Application page appears.
  3. In the left pane, select Global Config.
  4. Do one of the following:
    1. To enable auditing, set audit.enable to Yes.
    2. To disable auditing, set audit.enable to No.
  5. Select Save.
