When you export a package, Legacy Content Delivery reads the package profile and bundles the resources and supporting files into an encrypted ZIP file that you can then deliver to your end user.
Before you begin
To export a package, you must have first defined a package profile.
Publications are locked during export, so changes cannot be made to the publication as it is being exported. Ensure that users are not actively editing forms, skins, search indexes, and global configuration settings before you export.
Procedure
- Log in as a user who belongs to a group with the Manage app permission.
- If you are on a Legacy Content Delivery page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Legacy Content Delivery landing page appears.
- In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Application.
The Manage Application page appears.
- In the left pane, click Packaging.
- In the profiles list, click the profile for the package you want to export.
- Optionally, make any changes to the profile, then click Save.
- Click Export Package.
The completed package is a ZIP file with a .pac file extension, and is found in ContentDelivery_home/packages/<package_name>-<version>-<timestamp>.pac
- To view the log of the package export, click Export Log.
- Create an installer.properties file to pre-populate the installer prompts.
