Loading a package with the installer program is useful for installing the initial Legacy Content Delivery instance and publications, or for streamlining the installation and update process for your users.
Procedure
- Navigate to the directory where the package files are located, then do one of the following:
- On Windows, double-click install.exe.
- On Solaris or Linux, type ./install.bin.
- Follow the prompts in the installer program.
Some of the default values may be pre-populated by the creator of the package.
When the installer finishes installing the application, it automatically loads the package contents into the application.
- View the package status information as follows:
- Log in as a user who belongs to a group with the Manage App permission.
- If you are on a Legacy Content Delivery page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Legacy Content Delivery landing page appears.
- In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Application.
The Manage Application page appears.
- In the left pane, click System Status.
The system status and package information appear by default in the right pane.
