Backing up a server termbase
You may want to back up your server termbase as a security measure in case your termbase gets currupted, or if you want to save and send the contents of your server termbase to a translator/terminologist to create a new termbase from your backup.

Procedure
Save the structure of your termbase
- Expand the MultiTerm Server tree, then expand Termbases.
- Right-click on the termbase you want to back up and choose Save Termbase Definition As.
- Enter a name for your termbase definition and click Save to save it to your computer as an *.xdt file.
Save the termbase data
- Expand your termbase and select Export Definitions from the Public Objects tree.
- Click on Default export definition in the details pane to highlight the option.
- Go to the Edit menu and select Process to call up the Export Wizard.
- Click on Save As and enter a name for the .XML file where you want to export the termbase data.
- Click Save.
- Click Nexton the Export Settings page of the Export Wizard.
- Click Next on the Processing the Export page when MultiTerm Administrator finishes exporting the termbase data.
- Click Finish to close the Export Wizard.
