Monitoring termbase size
If you have a large termbase, you may need to monitor its size regularly to ensure that it is within the capacity of your database server.
SDL recommends that you reorganize all termbases regularly to remove redundant terminology data and that you then adjust the termbase size.
SDL MultiTerm Administrator
To check termbase size in SDL MultiTerm Administrator, select the termbase name in the navigation pane.
The details pane displays information about the termbase, including Physical size (termbase size), Total number of entries and the Physical name for the termbase on the database server.
Use this information to check whether a termbase has grown significantly, and whether it is time to reorganize.
SQL Server
In SQL Server, space is automatically allocated as the termbase grows, and you should not need to adjust the size of your databases. Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express with Advanced Services has a limit of 10 GB for each database.
