You can search the translation memory for existing translations that you could use to translate segments in the current file. In SDL Online Editor, these searches are called lookups.
Procedure
- Open the appropriate file in SDL Online Editor.
If you have the required permissions, the Lookups pane is displayed on the right side of the screen.
- Click the target area of the segment for which you want to find translations.
The translations available for that segment are displayed in the Lookups pane, along with their corresponding scores.
Tip: In the lower part of each entry, you can view details such as the date and time when they were added to the translation memory.
- Optional: To search for a particular word, type it in the search box, select whether you want to search in the source text or in the target text, and then press Enter.
Note: To get the best results, make sure that you type the entire word that you want to search for, not just a part of it. For example, type office instead of offic.
