Auto-propagation in SDL Online Editor

Auto-propagation is the process whereby the confirmed translation of a segment is applied to all the segments having the same source content. Auto-propagation is performed each time you confirm the translation of a segment.

A couple of notes about how auto-propagation works:
  • Confirmed translations are always applied to identical segments having one of the following statuses: "Not Translated" and "Draft".
  • Confirmed translations are never applied to identical segments that have already been confirmed.
  • If you confirm a translation by clicking Confirm and Move to Next Unconfirmed Segment or Confirm and Move to Next Segment and the next segment is identical to the current one, you have to press Ctrl+R for the translation to be updated in the second segment.
  • If you review a segment with Track Changes and confirm it, the translation of that segment is applied to identical segments and the revisions are included.
