Add/Configure SQL Server Data Source

Use the Add/Configure SQL Server Data Source dialog box to connect to the SQL Server and select a SDLX 2007 server-based translation memory (database). This translation memory is then upgraded to the SDL Trados Studio translation memory format *.sdltm.

Name

Enter a user-friendly name for this translation memory (database) SQL server. This name will be used in lists when you are selecting SDLX 2007 translation memories.

Description

Enter a brief description of the translation memory (optional).

Server

Select the server address of the server computer you want to connect to from the drop-down list.

Connection
Use Windows authentication

When this option is selected, the your windows login information is used to connect to the SQL server.

Use Data Source authentication

When this option is selected, the following login information is used to connect to the SQL server.

  • User ID - Enter your user name for this server.
  • Password - Enter your password.
  • Prompt for password when accessing database - Select this if you do not want to be prompted for a password when connecting to this translation memory.
Database

Select the SDLX 2007 translation memory you want to upgrade.
