About this user manual

This document explains how to use functionality provided by Audience Manager and Outbound E-mail.

Audience Manager enables marketing departments to gather information about audiences, such as interests and characteristics. Outbound E-mail is for marketing departments that need to implement and manage e-mail communication campaigns.

This manual is split into the following chapters:

  • Chapter 1 Audience Manager—explains what Audience Manager is, what you use it for, and which tasks you can perform with it
  • Chapter 2 Outbound E-mail—explains what Outbound E-mail is, what you use it for, and which tasks you can perform with it
  • Chapter 3 Managing Contacts—tells you how to add, remove, modify, import, export and search for Contacts in Address Books
  • Chapter 4 Managing Segments—explains how to create Segments used to personalize Web site content
  • Chapter 5 Managing Distribution Lists—explains how to define the target audience for your Mailings by creating and updating dynamic and static Distribution Lists
  • Chapter 6 Creating Content—describes how to create content (Components) for a Mailing and assemble the content together into an E-mail Page
  • Chapter 7 Managing Mailings—describes the ways in which you can create and send a Mailing to selected Contacts
  • Chapter 8 Viewing Mailing statistics—tells you where you can find statistics regarding Mailing response
