Preparing cost models and cost model rules for scoping
Use cost models to estimate localization costs for projects and cost model rules to apply additional charges and discounts.
Working with cost models When you determine the scope (word count and price) of a project, folder, or asset, you need to select a cost model to calculate the cost of the project. You can create multiple cost models to meet your needs (for example, if you have multiple translation vendors with different pricing ranges).
Working with cost model rules When you create a cost model, you can specify additional charges and discounts. Use cost model rules to specify the amount of these charges and discounts and the conditions under which they are applied.
