You can display the project and file data in a variety of layouts. The pre-defined layouts are selected from the Layout drop-down list in the Files view or Projects view, by accessing the Layout group, on the Home tab. Any new custom layouts that you create are added to this list.
Procedure
- In the Files view or Projects view, go to the Home tab, and in the Layout group, select <New Layout>.
- In the New Layout dialog, complete the Layout name box by entering a name for the new layout.
- Select the columns that you want to appear in the layout from the Available columns box. To select a column:
- Select the plus sign next to the category from which you want to select the column. The list of columns for that category is displayed.
- Select the column and select Add. The column is added to the Displayed columns box.
- The Sort by box specifies the column by which the data on the screen will be sorted. This automatically defaults to Name. If you want to change what column the data is sorted by, select a different column from the Sort by drop-down list.
- To use grouping, select a value by which the data on the screen will be grouped from the Group by drop-down list. If you do not want data to be grouped, clear the default selection in the Group by box.
- Select OK to save the layout.
The layout is now available for selection in the Layout drop-down list.
