Metadata

Visitors of your Tridion Docs Genius web portal can use metadata properties (goal, audience, product and product release) to drill down to the information they need. Metadata helps to improve the quality of the recommendations that Genius makes.

Tridion Docs Content Manager authors can tag content with the following metadata:
Product
Identifies the product (or product family) to which this content belongs. When a visitor engages in a trustable chat or performs a search within a publication, the results returned are limited to the publication's product by default. The visitor can deselect the product to broaden the search.
Product release
For a versioned product, identifies the release (or version) of the product to which this content belongs. When a visitor engages in a trustable chat or performs a search within a publication for a versioned product, the results returned are limited to the publication's product release by default. The visitor can deselect the product release to broaden the search.
If your product has no versions, there's no need to use this property.
Goal
Identifies the user goal that a reader consuming this content is trying to achieve. User goals are high-level results that the reader can understand. For example, installing a software product is a user goal; creating a database is not. Therefore, the overall number of goals used in your implementation should be relatively small, in the dozens.
Audience
Identifies the type of reader for whom this content is intended.
