In Content Manager Explorer, you can edit the Publishing properties of a Publication to first select a Business Process Type and then map individual Target Types to web applications. This mapping ensures the published content is accessible from the desired URL(s).
Before you begin
You must first have set up your Content Delivery infrastructure in Topology Manager before you can perform this task in Content Manager Explorer. Specifically, all your Content Delivery environments must have been added to a Topology.
Procedure
- Access the Content Manager Explorer website.
- Locate and select the Publication you want to map.
- In the Home ribbon tab, select Properties.
The properties of the Publication open in a new dialog.
- Select the Publishing tab in the Publication's properties.
- Under Business Process Type, select a Business Process Type. (If no Business Process Types are listed, you must first create one in this Publication.)
An Environment area appears on the left, showing the environments associated with this Business Process Type.
- Select the first environment in the list.
- Select Add Mapping on the right.
- If this Business Process Type has multiple Topologies associated with it, a Select a Topology dialog opens. Select the Topology you want to map to and click Select.
- Under Web site location, select the base URL where your Publication content will be published.
- Under URL path segment, do one of the following:
- If you want Content Manager to publish content to the base URL selected under Web site location, leave this field empty.
- If you want the content to go to a specific URL relative to the Web site location URL, define a path segment that will be appended to Web site location.
- Verify that the URL for this environment, as listed under Site URLs, is where you want the contents of this Publication to end up.
- Select the next environment in the list and repeat steps 7 to 11 to create another mapping. Continue until you have mapped to all environments.
- Select Save and Close to apply your changes.
