Using Tridion Sites

Within Tridion Sites, Content Manager provides the essential functionality for creating, managing, and organizing web content easily and efficiently. This section provides information on using the different Content Manager user interfaces within the framework of basic content management concepts and tasks.

Tridion Sites provides the following three independent but complimentary graphical user interfaces to support the needs of a variety of content management users:

Experience Space
Experience Space is the recommended interface for your everyday authoring and editing needs. It supports the majority of authoring and content management tasks and is superior to the Classic user interface in a number of ways. For features not yet available in Experience Space, you can easily switch to the Classic user interface.
Classic user interface
The "Classic" user interface actually includes both of the following browser-based clients:
Content Manager Explorer
A form-based user interface, Content Manager Explorer provides broad functionality for creating, editing and managing content as well as features that support the special needs of system administrators, developers and IT.
Experience Manager
The Experience Manager interface provides a WYSIWYG authoring environment. It enables content authors to change text, update images and add widgets on the webpage directly and within the context of the website (within a staging or preview environment).

Regardless of which UI you are using, it is always possible for multiple authors, editors and designers to contribute, thereby allowing you to collaborate and align your content objectives. You can maintain web content throughout its entire life cycle: from adding new content to publishing the content to your website. All versions of content are saved, thereby allowing you to view and track changes.
