After uploading a new source asset, you need to update the task to make sure the new content is translated.
Before you begin
You can only update tasks if their source assets have been modified.
Procedure
- In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
- On the Projects page, select the name of the appropriate project.
The tasks of the project are displayed on the
Tasks page.
Tip: On the Classic interface, you can view all the tasks in a project group, regardless of their locale, by selecting the Tree view check box, and then expanding the appropriate project and each of its locales.
- On the Tasks page, in the View list, select one of the following views:
- all tasks with changed assets
- active tasks with changed assets
- finished tasks with changed assets
- Select the check boxes next to the tasks that you want to update.
- Select Update.
- In the Update Tasks dialog box, choose whether or not you want to include the changes in the project cost, and then select OK.
Results
The tasks move into the Pending Update state. They will be updated (canceled and restarted) when a user completes a workflow step that allows for task updates.
To check whether or not a workflow step allows for task updates, go to the Advanced Options section of the step in the Workflow Editor and see if the Apply pending update after completing step check box is selected.
