Configuring the IETP packaging tool

Configure the IETP packaging tool for your organization.

Before you begin

The IETP Packaging tool gives each package a unique name to identify the package contents. In the field, this unique identifier is used to identify collections that should be updated. This unique identifier also corresponds to the collection name in the publication_s1000d.xml file.

Procedure

  1. The two key configuration files frequently utilized with the IETP packaging tool are the lcccollectionpub.properties and the lcclaunch.properties files. Review these files to understand the configurations that can be used. You can locate them at
    [LCC_home]/distribution-service/config
LiveContent Central when installed, includes default configurations such as port numbers, passwords, etc. If you modified any of default values during installation, make sure to update them here.
  2. Set the environment variable JAVA_HOME to match the jdk version in the platform requirements.
