Creating a cascaded project

About this task

To create a project, you need to specify the base project file and at least one target language. Proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. Click File > New > Cascaded Project to display the Project Setup dialog.
  2. Select a name for the new project, such as MyProject, and enter this in the Name field.
  3. Then enter the directory you want Passolo to create and save the project in the Location field. Specify the base project or click and select it using the File Selection dialog. Select the base project folder here to ensure that the target path rule can be transferred correctly, for example.
  4. Select the target language for the base project, which will serve as the base language for the cascaded project.
  5. Click the Add Language button and then select the language into which you want to translate the source files via the language dialog. Repeat this procedure for any additional target languages.
  6. Click OK to confirm the changes. The dialog closes and the Project window appears, showing all of the source files and languages that you specified.
