About this task
Note: When creating a new configuration for S1000D, you must manually create the full hierarchy or upload will fail. Create container objects for:

Then copy the Templates folder (including all its contents) from the S1000D configuration and paste it into the new configuration. If you plan to publish incremental updates to existing IETPs in LiveContent S1000D, also copy the eight PubManager template objects from the Publication Management container in the S1000D configuration and paste them to the Publication Management container that you just created in your new configuration.
Procedure
- In SDL Contenta S1000D, navigate to the desired Configuration object.
- Click .
- Drag the files from your file system onto the box.
- To perform each Upload step manually, do the following:
- Click Are these objects already in Contenta?
Note: If an object exists in the current configuration: If you have permission to overwrite existing data, you can specify to upload this object by checking the box in the first column.
Note: If an object is locked in the current configuration: If you have permission to unlock objects, and you are the lock's owner, you can specify to unlock and upload the object by checking the box in the first column.
The sysadmin user can override any lock and has permission to lock and unlock regardless of who owns the lock.
- Click Are they well formed?
- Click Submit Files.
Files that cannot be uploaded are skipped. Click List of objects already in Contenta, List of objects not well formed, or List of objects not created for details on which files were or were not uploaded. The logs for uploading are found in Contenta_home/logs.
- Alternatively, to automatically execute each Upload step, check Proceed without Confirmation. Upload continues through each step sequentially if there are no errors or stops at a step that has errors.
