Installing SDL Contextual Image Delivery
To install Contextual Image Delivery (or CID for short), set up the Image Transformation servlet for Java or for .NET.
- About this release of Contextual Image Delivery
This is the first release of Contextual Image Delivery, so these release notes mention only known issues. - Applying SDL Tridion Hotfix 87801
SDL Contextual Image Delivery requires you to apply SDL Tridion Hotfix 87801 (a hotfix for SDL Tridion 2013 SP1). Obtain this hotfix from SDL Customer Support. Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file contained in the hotfix zip file to apply the hotfix. - Installing the Image Transformation servlet in a Java Web application
To make the Image Transformation servlet work in Java, first install the API Server Role, then add CID JAR files to it. - Installing the Image Transformation Handler in a .NET Web application
To make the Image Transformation Handler work in .NET, first install the API Server Role, then add CID JARs and DLLs to it. - Adding a Contextual Web Delivery configuration file
Configuring the behavior of Contextual Image Delivery requires a Contextual Web Delivery configuration file, cwd_engine_conf.xml. CID does not require this file; without it, it reverts to application defaults. If your Web application already contains this file, you can modify it; otherwise, copy a sample file from the CID installation media. - Configuring logging for Contextual Image Delivery
By default, CID logs its log messages to the standard Content Delivery log. If you want, you can enable explicit logging for the Image Transformation servlet only.
