Editing Web site content
SDL Digital Experience Accelerator provides different Page Types for adding content. Each Page Type dictates the layout of content on a Page. Use Experience Manager to modify Web site content of DXA. Experience Manager is a user interface to the Content Manager that runs in your browser, and that allows end users to preview, edit and create Web site content in the context of a staging or preview Web site.
- Adding a Section Page
A Section Page contains four content items: a main article Component on top and underneath three items in a 3-column layout. - Adding a Section Page with Carousel
A Section Page with Carousel displays three content items: a main article Component, and two items in a 2-column layout displayed below the main article. Carousels allow multiple pieces of content to occupy a single, coveted space: the main article Component consists of several items which the carousel displays in turn one-by-one. - Adding an Article Page
An Article Page displays a single piece of content in a Page. The content consists of a background image on top, body text (a Format Area for rich text formatting), and multimedia such as images and videos. - Adding a News Article Page
An News Article Page displays a single piece of content in a Page. The content consists of a background image on top of which a subheading is displayed, body text (a Format Area for rich text formatting), and multimedia such as images and videos. - Adding an Accordion Page
An Accordion Page stacks a list of items vertically one of top of the others. By clicking an item heading you can expand the item to display the content associated with that item. You can expand one item at a time: opening one item closes another. - Adding a Tabbed Content Page
A Tabbed Content Page organizes contents on the Page into a tab interface: clicking a tab opens the content. - Adding a Gallery Page
A Gallery Page displays a set of thumbnail images. You can click on an image to view it full size, scroll through the gallery, and see other information like an image captions. - Adding a Location Page
A Location Page displays name, address, contact details and a location map from Google Maps. - Adding a Dynamic List Page
A Dynamic List Page displays a main article and a configurable number of Article or News Article Pages per Page. - Adding a Redirect Page
A Redirect Page redirects a web site visitor from the Page they entered to a different Web page (an internal or external URL). - Visual design item reference
The Web page contains a number of visual design items that you can use. This topic lists them, tells how they appear in the Content Manager, and gives the URL of a Web page in the Example Site showing the item. - Adding a YouTube video to a Web page
Create a Multimedia Component using the YouTube Video Schema to add the YouTube video to the Content Manager. You can then link in the video in a Format Area field, or in the Media field of a Article or List Item, or add it standalone to the page by using a 1-column, 2-column or 3-column layout.
