Batch assigning tasks
Batch assign functionality allows Translation Leads to assign multiple tasks to the same resource in one action.
Before you begin
- Task Types that can be batch assigned are:

- Assign Translation Task
- Translate
- Post Edit Only
- Post Edit
- Conversion
- Target Only Review
- Translation Only
- Review
- Finalise
- Implement Client Review
- LSO
- Batch assigning can be completed in two locations:
-
- The Task List
- A Project Tasks tab
- The jobs must share the same:
-
- Task Type
- Client Division
- Source and Target Language
- Statuses - either New or Unlocked (unless the tasks are Pending status and located in the Management Tasks report).
Procedure
- Locate and check together the jobs to batch assign from your Task List or Project > Tasks tab.
- Scroll to the quick view area at the bottom of the screen.
- For Assign Translation Task batches only:
- Confirm if Machine Translation was used.
- If assigning to a Vendor, check the Send to Vendor box and complete the additional Parent and Child sector fields.
- If the work is being assigned within SDL, enter the name of the internal Translator and Reviewer.
- Click Assign Work.
- For all other Task Types enter the name of the resource in the Assign To box and click Assign.
