Accepting or Refusing a Task

Tasks pending your acceptance are listed in the Tasks to be approved section of your Task List.

Procedure

  1. Double-click the task to display the task details, allowing you to review the task information and supporting documents. If the full document workflow is displayed, the task assigned to you is highlighted in yellow.
  2. Click the Information icon to the left of the task. An Accept/Refuse Task window appears.
    1. To accept the task, select Accept and click OK. Immediately after accepting, the Update Task icon appears to the left of the task and the task status switches to amber to indicate that the task is In Progress.
    2. To refuse the task, select Refuse, type an explanation in the Refusal Reason text box and click OK. The task is removed from the task list and notification of the refusal and reason are sent to the project manager.
