Configure the List of Services

Use the Services page to define the work tasks required to satisfy customer projects.

Procedure

  1. From the TMS vertical sidebar, click Settings.
  2. On the Administration page, in the List Administration section, click the Services link.
  3. To add a new service:
    1. Scroll down to the New section.
    2. In the Name field, enter the name of the service in each of the languages of operation.
    3. In the Abbreviation field, enter a short abbreviation for this service in each of the languages of operation.
    4. In the Default Unit field, enter the best measure for quantifying the amount of work for this service. For example, Editorial service is measured in labour hours and Translation service is measured in words.
    5. Select the To Be Paid check box to indicate that this service will result in charges to the customer.
    6. Select the Always Charge check box to indicate that every invoice will include this service.
    7. Select the Recurrent check box to indicate that the service should be billed on the customer invoice at predefined recurring intervals or levels of service.
    8. Select the In All Languages check box to indicate that your organization is capable of performing the service in all languages.
    9. In the Unique Identifier field, enter a code that you can use to identify this service later from anywhere in the system.
    10. Select the Pretranslation Service check box to indicate that this service is automated and can be performed in advance to prepare the content or estimate the complexity of the material.
    11. Click Save to save the new service.
  4. In the list of services, click Edit to modify the selected service.
    1. Click Save to save your edits.
    2. Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
  5. Click Delete to permanently remove the service.
