Configuring MultiTrans Web
Configure direct access links and modify the display and features available within MultiTrans Web.
- Configuring the MultiTrans Web to use an SSL Certificate
If you wish to connect to the MultiTrans Web using HTTPS, an SSL certificate must be installed and configured for your MultiTrans Web application. Once this is done, the MultiTrans Web must be configured to allow the HTTPS connection. - Accessing the Web Applications through Direct Links
The MultiTrans Web can be accessed directly, using a link from another web page. To use a direct link, an account that does not require a password (for example a guest account) must be created. - Accessing the MultiTrans Web through Webseal
Access the MultiTrans Web through IBM's Webseal security. - Standardizing Display Options
Within the MultiTrans Web, you may decide not to allow users with various license types to change the display options. For example, you may not want a casual user (with a MultiTrans TermBase Web Viewer license) to display system fields such as the Created Date or Modified Date. You can completely hide the Display button in the left menu bar. - Showing and Hiding Pre-defined Filters
A number of pre-defined filters are available through the MultiTrans Web. Depending on the size of the TermBase being filtered, they may be fairly heavy on server resources; they may also display information that is more administrative that you would not wish for end users to view. - Showing and Hiding the Advanced Search
The Advanced Search feature is available by default with the MultiTrans Web for any license type. This can be hidden if necessary. - Enabling and Disabling Filters in the Basic Search
Once a filter has been applied to the TermBase Web terminology, the Basic Search only considers results from the filtered set. This can be disabled as a global setting, so the Basic Search considers all results and not just the filtered set. - Enabling and Disabling Auto-complete and Filter-as-you-Type Functionality in the Basic Search
As users type text into the Basic Search field of the TermBase Web, a list of all terminology records matching the typed text is displayed (auto-complete) and as users continue to type, the list is filtered automatically (filter-as-you-type). This functionality is available by default but can be disabled if necessary. - Customizing the MultiTrans Web
Both minor customizations of the MultiTrans Web (changing colours, fonts and logos) as well as larger customizations (changing themes or master pages) can be done. - Upgrading a Customized MultiTrans Web
Once the MultiTrans Web has been customized, you may decide to update your version of MultiTrans while preserving your customizations.
