List of choices - multilevel fields display a window containing a list of choices and their respective sub-choices. You can add an unlimited number of sub-choices. Choices can be added or modified at any time.
Procedure
- To add choices to the list, click +.
The Localization dialog box appears.
- For each available interface language, select the language and enter the field value in that language.
- Click OK to add the value you typed in the Localization window. It is not necessary to add values in all languages, but if you decide to do so, the field name and values will be displayed in the appropriate language depending on which interface language you are using.
- To add a sub-level, select one of your choices and click the + button.
- Use the X button to remove a choice.
- You can also hyperlink your choices to internal values or external URLs or files.
- Click Apply.
- Put your choices in the desired order by using the arrows at the bottom right.
- If you would like to be able to select more than one multilevel choice, check the box next to Multiple selections allowed.
- In the Separator box, enter the symbol you wish to use to separate multilevel choices if more than one choice is selected. The levels will be separated by a semi-colon (;) by default.
- When you are finished, click Close.
What to do next
Note: You can create a text file containing the list of choices and then use the Browse icon to import the list into the field definitions. You can import the main list, then select a choice and import a sub-list, and so on.
