Managing a TermBase Server
To manage a TermBase Server, click the TermBase node.
Initially, no TermBases are listed. Assuming that you have successfully installed a TermBase server, you may add a TermBase by clicking Add New TermBase.
- Adding a TermBase to the Server
You can add a new TermBase directly through the Administration Console. - Renaming a TermBase
You may rename a server TermBase by clicking the Rename TermBase button. You can simply edit the name of the TermBase, in addition to adding or editing a Subject or Description. - Identifying Terminology Records Open for Editing
The Administrator can identify a terminology record open for editing by clicking on the TermBase node, choosing the TermBase and clicking on Locked Records. The record number with the user name and specific term are displayed. - Unlocking Locked Records
To unlock a terminology record, simply select desired record and click on Unlock. You can also unlock all records open for editing by clicking on Unlock All. - Enabling the TermBase History
The TermBase Server allows you to track all changes to your TermBases. This tracking must be enabled manually. - Deleting the TermBase History
It is recommended that you purge your TermBase history on a regular basis; if not, the database size will become very large. - TermBase Statistics
You may view statistics on the use of your TermBases by clicking the View Stats button. - Delete TermBase
You may delete a TermBase from the server by selecting the TermBase, then clicking Delete. Note that this action is irreversible (a confirmation prompt appears before the TermBase is deleted). - TermBase Languages
You may add another language to a TermBase by selecting the TermBase, then selecting the Languages button. This opens the same window as when you select languages initially when creating a TermBase.
