Managing Terminology Records
Add, modify and delete your terminology records.
- Creating a New Terminology Record
Create a new terminology record. - Editing an Existing Terminology Record
Edit an existing terminology record. - Editing Fields
Different field types are available in your TermBases and editing is slightly different for each of them. - Hyperlinking
Add internal, external or email links to text within your terminology records. - Adding Languages through the TermBase Web
At any point, you can add a new language to an existing TermBase. For example, if you had an English-French TermBase, but you recently found terms you would like to add in Spanish, you can add Spanish to your TermBase and add the new terms. - Spell-checking
It is possible to run a spell-check in any term, translation or text field. Spell-check is currently available in English, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish. - Duplicating Records
If you are entering a number of similar terminology records, it may be simpler to duplicate an existing record then to re-create each record from scratch. If, for example, you are entering a number of terminology records that will contain the same field values, you can simply duplicate an existing record and edit the terms and equivalents. - Mass-modifying Records
Changing a number of records simultaneously may be convenient if you are updating a particular field or certain fields. To do so, you must first select the records you wish to edit together. You can normally only select a single term at a time from the term list, so to select multiple terms together, you must enable the mass-modify display. - Merging Records
Merging terminology records adds the terms and field values from different records to a single record. This may be particularly useful if duplicate concepts have been added by various users or when importing glossaries which may contain duplicates to what already exists in your TermBase. Up to 6 terminology records can be merged simultaneously. - Deleting terminology records
Delete a terminology record from your TermBase. - Deleting terms or equivalents
Delete a term or equivalent from a terminology record. - Formatting Records
Formatting can be applied to text in terms and equivalents or in text fields.
