When you start a session, the Start Session dashboard allows you to select the required server TextBases and TermBases.
About this task
The process to open a server TextBase is the same as to open a local TextBase, except that you must ensure that the field Available at is pointing towards your server.
Procedure
- Click Configure... next to the Available at field.
The Known Servers window displays.
- Click Add....
The Login window displays.
- In the Login window enter a Description for your server; this can be a nickname for the server that will be easier to identify than a DNS name or the IP address. Then, enter the DNS name or IP address in the Address field, select the connection Protocol (TCP/IP, HTTP or HTTPS), Port, and enter your MultiTrans User Name and Password.
- Click OK.
The server is added to the list of Known Servers.
- Click Close.
- Select the server you just added.
All available TextBases and TermBases on the server display on the TextBases and TermBases available boxes.
- From this point you can select and unselect the TextBases and TermBases you want to open using the checkboxes next to their names or the Select All / Unselect All buttons, and proceed as described for local TextBases and TermBases.
What to do next
Note: It is possible to configure access to several servers at once from the Start session window when you click on the Configure… button, then click on the Add… button in the Known Servers window, fill out the required fields in the Login window, and repeat this action for as many times as you need to add servers to the list of Known Servers. Alternatively, you can go to the Configuration menu, select , and click on the Configure Server… button to open the Known Servers window.
