Searching with Wildcards

You can use wildcards to carry out searches on both local and server TextBases.

The asterisk (*) replaces a full word or part of a word depending on where it is placed. Therefore, the search for * agent finds results such as Alignment Agent, Translation Agent, Analysis Agent, etc.; while develop* finds develop, developer, developed, development, develops and so on.

The question mark (?) replaces one single character. Therefore, if you search for analy?e” you find both analyze and analyse. You can also use more than one question mark at a time. For example ????ware finds software, freeware, and hardware.
