About customers

You can specify the customer for which you are translating files in your project. You can store their name and email address. The customer information is stored in a list separate from the project so you can select the existing customer each time your create a project for that customer.

Manage customers

You manage customer information from the Customers dialog box. This allows you to add, edit and remove customers from SDL Trados Studio. Select File > Setup > Customers to display this dialog box. You can also display this dialog box when you are creating a project or editing project settings by clicking the Customers button.

Select a customer for a project

You can select a customer for a project when you are:
  • Creating a project on the Project Details page of the New Project wizard. See How to create a project for more information about creating projects.
  • Editing a project on the Project page of the Project Settings dialog box. See Editing project settings for more information.
