Searching a selection

About this task

If you are searching in a selection, the behavior is slightly different. As long as the user does not manually move the cursor:

  • If Search up is selected, Find Previous will terminate at the end of the initial selection. Find Next will restart the search in the entire document as opposed to the selection.
  • If Search up is not selected, Find Next will terminate at the end of the initial selection. Find Previous will restart the search in the entire document as opposed to the selection.
