Specifying default languages
This topic describes how to specify a source and target language that are always selected when you create a new translation. The settings determine:
About this task
- What default source and target languages are used for all new translations. This enables you to quickly start a new translation if you use the same source and target languages for all your translations.
- Whether or not you are prompted to specify a source and target language when creating a new translation.
The settings are displayed when you select from the Ribbon and then select from the navigation tree in the Options dialog box.
To select default languages:
Procedure
- Select from the Ribbon. The Options dialog box is displayed.
- Select from the navigation tree. The language settings are displayed on the right.
- Under Default Languages, select your default source and target languages. Default selections for these languages are not required and can be changed when you create a translation if the Prompt for document languages if they cannot be detected automatically check box is selected.
- Click OK to save the settings and to close the Options dialog box.
