Creating a return package
This topic describes how to create a return package in SDL Trados Studio. This enables you to:
About this task
- Return reviewed project files that need further work. For example, if a reviewer receives translated files in a package and they review the files and find that one of the translations is incorrect, then they can return that file to the translator in a return package to correct the translation.
- Return files where the review is complete and the translation is approved.
To create a return package:
Procedure
- Select Projects view > Home tab > Create Return Package group . The Create Return Package wizard is displayed on the Select Files page. All files in the project are included in the list apart from reference files.
- Select or clear the check boxes next to the file names on the Select Files page to include or exclude them from the package. If you have previously included any of the files displayed in another return package, those files will not be selected by default.
- Click Next to go to the Return Package Options page.
- If you are working with a WorldServer package, click Server to upload the return package back to SDL WorldServer directly from Trados Studio. If the package was created in WorldServer 10.3, Studio recognizes the server where the package came from so that you can upload the return package back to its original location. For packages created in earlier versions or to upload the package to a different location, enter the server address in the Server field and click Authenticate to enter your WorldServer credentials
- If you are working with a Trados Studio or TMS package, click Browse to save the package to your computer. Browse to the location where you want to save the return package, enter a name for the return package in the File name box and click Save.
- If you want to add a comment to the return package, enter it in the Comment box..
- Click Finish to create the package and go to the Creating Return Package page.
- If errors or warnings occurred during package creation, select the package and click Show Results. The Results dialog box is displayed.
