  1. Translate the file and save your changes.
  2. Send the file for review by choosing one of the Regulated Industry methods for users who do not work with SDL Trados Studio:
    OptionDescription
    Bilingual Review in Word

If you are in a workflow where the reviewer does not have SDL Trados Studio, you can export to a bilingual review file in Microsoft Word format. You can then review the file in Word and update SDL Trados Studio with the corrections. For additional external review file formats, see the available applications on SDL AppStore.

    Review an Exported Target File

If you need to send the native target file to a reviewer and then import the changes they made back into your project, you can use the SDL Trados Studio Retrofit feature.

When importing the reviewed target file, you can also check and, if necessary, correct the reverse alignment.

Review by a Regulator in a Bundle

If you work in a Regulated Industry and have purchased a license containing this feature, you can send a bundle of files to an external regulator for review. This bundle contains a specific collection of files needed by the regulator. The regulator is then able to review the files in Word and you can update SDL Trados Studio with the corrections.

You can also send the file for review as part as one of the following workflows for users who work with SDL Trados Studio:
    • Shared project workflow (via SDL Trados GroupShare)
    • Package and return package workflow (via SDL WorldServer)
