Translating

Plan for inheritance (of target language), in-context perfect matching, and (optionally) integration with SDL TMS and SDL WorldServer.

Generate target languages
Content Manager automatically generates target language versions of objects as soon as a topic or map is formally approved and released in the authoring language. These to-be-translated XML content inherit relevant metadata fields and are automatically routed to the assigned translator. This automation eliminates manual steps thus making the process more efficient and less error prone.
In context pre-translation
Content Manager reduces translation time and cost by eliminating the quality check that is normally required for 100% matches originating from a standard translation memory. This is accomplished by the concept of “in context pre-translation.” This means that before sending a topic to translation memory, it is pre-translated in Content Manager using previous translations of this topic in its current context.
Automatic interchange with translation workflow systems
Translation is an integral part of a publication release. Content Manager provides an interface to translation workflow systems to facilitate this process. Content Manager currently has optional integrations with SDL TMS, SDL WorldServer and File System.
