Upgrading the Content Manager environment
If you have an existing release of the product installed, upgrade the Content Manager database, server and clients.
Upgrading the Content Manager database Upgrade your Content Manager database by running a PowerShell script. Do not upgrade your Content Manager database if you are still using legacy templating code (in VBScript, JScript or legacy XSLT) or legacy Automatic Activites with VBScript code. These items are no longer supported, so you must stop using them and rewrite their functionality using supported technologies. The upgrade will delete these items or, if they are in use, abort.
Upgrading the Content Manager server Upgrade your Content Manager server and related features, such as Visio Workflow Designer and WebDAV Connector, by running the installer.
Upgrading the Content Manager clients Upgrade the Content Manager desktop applications and plugins, and check the new prerequisites of the Content Manager browser-based user interfaces.
