Experience Optimization integrates the SDL Tridion Sites and Fredhopper products:
Targeting The Targeting option in the slide-out navigation pane provides access to the Targeting Dashboard, the Experience Optimization user interface for managing Promotions and Experiments.
Experiments An Experiment defines variations of content (Content Variants) to display in a region of a Web page. The Content Variants are displayed randomly to Web site visitors within a given time frame. The objective of an Experiment is to see which Content Variant performed the best (resulted in the most conversions).
Promotions A Promotion defines the targeted content to display in a Page Region of a Web site.
Going Live with Promotions and Experiments When you have created and validated Web site content and targeting content in your staging environment (Experience Manager), you need to publish the content to your public-facing Web sites.
