Handling UTF-8 file encoding

When you are publishing a non Western European data set, for the Content Deployer to handle UTF-8 file encoding, you need to create a Registry Key.

Before you begin

You have to set up Tomcat, Glassfish, and JBoss to accept UTF-8 URIs. For more information, refer to your Web Application Server documentation.

Procedure

  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to the Tridion Key.
  3. Under Tridion create a Content Delivery Key.
  4. Under Content Delivery Key create a General Key.
  5. Modify the General Key as follows:
    • Set Name to jvmarg1
    • Set Value Data to -Dfile.encoding=utf-8
