Adding a review workflow for Tridion Sites

If you want to include Review steps as part of your Tridion Sites translations, you need to define workflows accordingly.

Before you begin

Before setting up a workflow to include Review steps, define the following custom human actions in WorldServer:
  • Translated Content Retrieval
  • Translated Content Retrieval for Review

In Tridion Sites Translation Manager, you must also apply a review workflow to schemas and/or structure groups.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Workflow > Workflows.
  2. Select Add.
  3. Add the appropriate steps.
A simple workflow might contain the following steps: Start, Clear Segment, Segment Asset, Translate, Translated Content Retrieval for Review, Review, Translate, Translated Content Retrieval, Finish. Your workflow can contain as many steps as you need.
  4. Assign the appropriate users or workflow roles to each step and configure their advanced options, if necessary.
  5. Create the appropriate transitions:
    1. Make sure that the transition from Segment Asset to Translate has the Translatable value.
    2. Make sure that the transition from Segment Asset to Finish has the Not Translatable value.
    3. Make sure that the transition from Translated Content Retrieval to Finish has the Retrieved value.
If an asset reaches the Finish step without being picked up by Translated Content Retrieval, the Content Manager considers it canceled. Your workflow should now be similar to the following:A standard translation and review workflow for the integration between WorldServer and SDL Web.The start of the workflow is not included, because it does not relate directly to the review process.
  6. Select Save.
