Searching for projects on the Classic interface

On the Classic interface, you have roughly the same searching options as on the WorldServer 11 interface, except for the fact that you can only search for projects.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
  2. On the Projects page, in the Project View list, select the view to which you want your search criteria to apply.
  3. Select the Search panel check box.
  4. In the Search In list, select a search criterion, and then, in the Search For box, enter the appropriate information.
    Depending on the criterion you selected, in the Search For box, you might need to:
    • Enter one or more words.
    • Select an option in a list.
    • Enter a range of numeric values.
    • Specify dates.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To add a criterion without searching it immediately, select Add criteria The Add criteria button.. You might do this if you want to search for projects that meet multiple criteria at the same time.
    • To search immediately without adding the criterion, select Find now The Find now button..
  6. After adding the first criterion, you can:
    • Add other search criteria.
    • Search for projects that meet the criteria you specified. To do so, select Find now The Find now button..
    • Remove all the criteria you specified. To do so, select Clear search The Clear search button..
    • Remove a single criterion. To do so, select Delete The Delete button. next to it.
    • Save the criteria you specified as a filter1. To do so, next to Search Filter, select Save As The Save As button.. In the Save Search Filter dialog box, enter the name of the filter, and then select Save As New.

      Your filter is now available in the Search Filter list.

    • Modify one or more filters. To save your changes, select Save As The Save As button., and then, in the Save Search Filter dialog box, select Save.

      To undo your changes, select Reset Filter The Reset Filter button..

    • Delete one or more filters. To do so, select Delete The Delete button., and then, in the Delete Search Filter dialog box, select Delete.
1 If you apply a filter, that filter is still applied whenever you return to the Projects page on the view on which it was created – even after you log out from WorldServer. To view all the projects on that view, select Clear search The Clear search button..
