Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud service connector for Trados

The AEM Cloud connector builds on earlier versions of SDL's connector (currently RWS) and leverages some of the core components of the AEM Translating Integration Framework by extending the user experience in AEM, to provide a richer solution for managing translation projects.

AEM and RWS responsibilities

AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) administrators and RWS representatives are involved in setting up the AEM to Trados service integration, hence referred to as AEM Cloud connector for brevity.

AEM administrators need to:
  1. Ensure they have read/write access to CRWX/DE and the Web Console OSGi.
  2. Set up an AEM service account.
  3. Install the AEM Cloud connector.
  4. Configure the AEM Cloud connector (especially the cloud configuration).
RWS representatives need to:
  1. Create a Trados Customer Portal account (user).
  2. Configure a Trados instance with all the relevant resources.
