Manual project creation and translation workflow

An overview of the steps you need to perform to create projects manually.

Procedure

  1. On the Dashboard tab of the connector, under Products Available For Translation, select the products that you want to send for translation, and then select Continue.
  2. On the Create Project page, enter the following details:
    1. In the Project Name box, enter the name of the project.
    2. In the Description box, enter a brief description of the project.
    3. Under Due date, select when you want the translation to be complete.
    4. In the Template ID list, select the appropriate template for the project.
    5. Under Target Language, select all the languages you want the product to be translated into.
  3. Select Create Project.

What to do next

Depending on how they were created, you can view your projects in two ways:
  • The All Projects tab lists all the projects in the RWS cloud.
  • The Jobs tab lists all the projects that were created locally.
If your project is still in progress, you can check the status of the project in Akeneo by going to Products and entering the xml product ID in the search bar. At this point:
  • If the status of the project becomes forDownload, you can select Retrieve and Push to Akeneo. After you retrieve a project, it will be marked as completed.
  • Alternatively, you can delete the project by selecting Delete Project.
On the Trados Project List page, the following information is displayed:
  • The name and the description of each project.
  • The date when each project was created.
  • The status of each project.
  • The progress of the project in terms of completion percentage.
At this point, you can search for the product in Akeneo to check the translation and see the changes made in the product history.
