Project status mapping
The AEM Cloud connector uses a set of statuses to display the progress of the translation project to the user in AEM. The mapping table below uses a mix of AEM workflow statuses and Trados Customer Portal API statuses to show the progress of an end-to-end project.
| Stage | User/System Action | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | Save > Project created in AEM | Draft | User stage where the project is created, and saved in AEM |
| 2. | Start >Project submitted to RWS | Submitted | This is a system/processing stage showing the project has started the AEM workflow. |
| 3. | System > AEM workflow processing files | Committed for Translation | This is a system/processing showing the AEM workflow is complete and the project is on its way to RWS for processing. |
| 4. | System > Project received in RWS | Preparing | This is a system/processing stage showing that the project is received by RWS and is currently being processed. |
| 5. | Approve/Cancel > Project actioned in RWS | For Approval | User stage where the project is created, statistics are available, and can be approved or cancelled for translation. If the Trados workflow does not have this stage, the project moves automatically to In Progress. |
| 6. | System > Project is In Progress in RWS | In Progress | The project is In Progress in Trados. There is no user action in AEM. All interactions are performed in Trados. |
| 7. | System > Project In Review/Sign-off in RWS | In Review (RWS), Reviewed, In Sign Off, Signed Off | The project is In Progress in Trados. These stages are dependent on the workflow in Trados and are optional. All interactions are performed in Trados. |
| 8. | System > Project is ready to be retrieved from RWS | For Download | The project has completed all translation and review processes (where applicable) and the files are ready to be downloaded back to AEM. The files are picked up by the AEM Cloud connector based on the polling frequency set in the configuration. |
| 9. | Accept/Reject > Translated files are ready for review in AEM | Ready for Review | The translated files have returned to AEM and are available for accept or reject. If users choose Automatically Approve Translations during project creation, this stage is skipped. |
| 10. | System > Translations are accepted in AEM | Accepted | The AEM user accepts the translations. |
| 11. | System > Project is completed in AEM and RWS | Completed | If the user accepts the translations (or if translations are automatically accepted), the project is completed in AEM and Trados. |
| 12. | System > Translations are rejected in AEM (*currently not supported) | Rejected | Users in AEM reject the translation. This action moves the project back to an In Progress state in Trados and AEM. |
| 13. | System > Project is cancelled | Cancelled | Users can cancel a project. |
| 14. | System > An error has occurred | Error | If an error occurs during one of the processes from one stage to another, the AEM Cloud connector shows an error status. |
